PARK SLOPE In the 1800's Park Slope became a hot spot
for Brooklyn's elite and a summer retreat for
the wealthy from Manhattan. Named for its closeness
to Prospect Park and its' incline from the Gowanus
Canal to Prospect Park, the neighborhood is divided
into 3 smaller neighborhoods...North Slope...Center
